Can I know before I die if I’ll go to heaven?

YES YOU CAN! – The bible clearly teaches us that it is possible to know if we can go straight to heaven as soon as we die. The best-known verse in the bible gives us that assurance which comes from God. In John chapter 3 verse 16 it says, ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ Here we read that God has said we can HAVE (here and now), EVERLASTING LIFE. That means before you die you can know that God has given you, life without end throughout eternity with Him.

John chapter 5 verse 24 further tells us, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.’ These are the words spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ himself and he tells us that those who believe on Him, will not be condemned or judged for their sins; but will pass from death unto life. The death spoken of here is eternal death or separation from God; to life, or eternal life with God without end.

1 John chapter 5 verse 13 categorically states that it is possible to know ‘that ye have eternal life,’ when it says, ‘These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye have eternal life.’ This leaves no doubt that before you die you can have that blessed assurance from God that you can spend eternity in paradise with Him, and that you never have to see that place called hell.
